It looks like modified plans for your binding jig are available now (they do give you and Fleishman credit). I found a listing on ebay. Now folks, there are only 20 sets so please don't outbid me on all of them.

Heck I wish I could just by the jig already built. Ever think of doing that Don W, let me know, I'll be first in line, But that said, it would have to come from you or your okie dokie on that. |

Go ahead and make your own. Mine took be 1/2 sheet of plywood and a weekend. Make sure that your drawer slides don't have an indent at the end of their travel. I got lucky and mine didn't. Also, when you buy your lazy susan, get one that has as little slop as possible. |

Mario, yes I was contacted, and no, I'm not getting anything. I have always offered the information for free, and will continue to do so. I gave him my permission to sell the plans (since he did all the drawing and printing), but asked him to give credit to Harry Fleischman and I for our part in the design. If Harry wants any royalties, he can certainly ask him for them. I doubt he will, since he gave the idea freely himself. Frankly, if someone wanted to build one, they can simply go to my website and the directions are there and fairly clear. Not sure if he will sell 20 sets of the plans, but more power to him if he does. Mike, I kinda like the detent, or "self closing" feature on my drawer slides. It keeps the arm extension from accidently flying out and damaging something. |

Okay Don, that sounds cool. I was just wondering if this was someone trying to skim a great idea off one of these forums. I don't think anyone's going to get rich on it, but it's nice that they asked for permission, first. That simple act means a lot(hint to some forum readers...) Glad the word's getting out there on it, and that the credit is going where it's due. I love mine! |

I love the Fleishman/Williams (in alphabetical order) jig. Don was nice enough to "demo" it at the first New England Luthiers meeting over a year ago. He even did the demo at woodcraft so all I had to do was pull out the credit card to go home with enough parts to make it. Prints are a nice thing to have, but like Don says .... Yea and I like the locking feature of the the on the slides too. When I am not using the router, it locks home and there is less risk of it sliding into something ... namely a nice set of expensive sides on a body that is not bound yet. Well thanks again Don for sharing the idea with all of us. Cool. In honor of groung hog day ... it is time to go back in the shop ... see ya in 6 weeks.
